Our Philosophy

“You are as many people as the languages you speak.” This was one of the priceless pieces of wisdom often repeated by my grandfather and my father. It was this thought that planted the seed of initiative in me — the starting point of my independent decision to explore the world and the opportunities it holds.

Of course, the quote is not meant literally. Its message is simple: the more foreign languages and cultures we understand, the more naturally we are able to find our place in different environments.

It was in this spirit that, in May 2022, I realised that alongside my already strong command of the English language (C1 level), I needed to acquire a second foreign language — something a little more exotic, yet no less valuable.

The choice required little thought. My admiration for Italian culture, the Italian people, and their melodic language goes back many years. During my high school years, I had several opportunities to visit this beautiful country, where I came to know the warmth, openness, and welcoming nature of its people.

“The world is put in motion by connections.” This was another insightful saying often mentioned by István Kiniczky Sr. At first glance, its connection to the earlier quote may not be obvious, yet the two are closely linked. Learning languages lays the foundation for relationships to form across borders. Everywhere, from everyone, there is something to learn.

Through one such chance connection of my father’s, I was introduced to Alessandro Giorio, a respected Italian entrepreneur engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of parquet flooring throughout Europe.

I moved to Italy and began my professional journey working in his warehouse. During my year there, I took part in numerous installation projects — primarily laying strip flooring for basketball courts, but also contributing to the renovation and replacement of parquet flooring in residential spaces. Over time, developing a genuine passion for flooring became inevitable.

That year proved sufficient for me to acquire conversational proficiency in Italian. Following my return home, this enabled me to join the Hungarian parquet factory of the Giorio group as a quality inspector and liaison officer, a position I held from September 2023 to September 2025. During this period, I completed the flooring installer adult training programme at the Győri Gábor László Vocational Training Centre, allowing me to understand our products not only in their manufacture, but also in their function and application.

Although I deeply enjoyed working with wood, a growing sense of initiative took shape within me. I felt compelled to channel the professional knowledge and language skills I had accumulated over the years into a new, personal project of my own. When I shared my intentions and plans with Alessandro, his response was simple and immediate:

“Bella idea!” — A beautiful idea.

And so, in October 2025, Ambitius Ltd. was founded.
